The annual Moore Park Beach Pre-Spring Festival is to be held over the weekend
of 7th to 9th August 2015.
Planning is underway to make this year's festival a great event for the public, and the organisers
are expecting that this year will be even better than last year. Keep an eye on this site for further
details of the festival, and also for any social events that the committee is planning to assist with
fundraising for the festival.
A GREAT SUCCESS!!"
The annual Moore Park Beach Pre-Spring Festival is a highlight
of the Wide Bay/Burnett Region's cultural scene.
From Friday 15th to Sunday 17th August 2014, the public enjoyed a fun-filled family weekend.
Although the Saturday was marred by some wet weather, the events still went on and were enjoyed by
all who attended, with the fireworks display on the Saturday night branded as a wonderful event.
School participation has always been a big part of the festival
with many of the local schools participating in the Art programme
as well as providing art in the form of music on the Friday morning.
2014 was no exception with school bands
giving a free concert on the grassed area of the Community Hall.
The concert was open and the public came
and supported these young musicians as they enjoyed the art of music.
Thanks go to teachers and parents for their support of this
important part of the weekend.
Sunday was a much kinder day as far as the weather was concerned, with blue skies all day.
The attendance was great, and the public enjoyed all the activities and sights of the festival.
Moore Park Beach Arts Inc wishes to thank all our supporters for their
generous support and assistance for the 2014 Moore Park Beach Festival,
without which the festival would not have been the great event it was.
This year, for the first time, there was a fireworks display on the Saturday evening.
The display was presented by FireworX - masters of fireworks artistry.
This is a Queensland company based in Archerfield, who have extensive experience and have
put on displays around Australia.
